2012 Season

  BOSHEERS, DYLAN - 
INF  | R/R | 6’0" | 180 LBS.  | FRESHMAN | TENNESSEE TECH  |  LAWRENCEBURG, TN |

PROFILE: All Mid-State and All State First Team selection as a senior after batting .632 with eight homers, 31 RBI and a .985 fielding percentage. As a junior, he hit .513 with 57 RBI, scored 52 runs, had 13 stolen bases and fielded at .980. He was ranked as high as the # 13 prospect out of Tennessee high schools in the 2011 senior class. He played in the 2011 American Legion World Series with Columbia TN and batted .344 with eleven hits, three doubles, two home runs and six RBI in six games. Dylan runs a 6.7/ 60 . He is expected to start in the infield as a freshman.



  BRENNAN, DANNY - 

 OF | L/L | 6’2" | 180 LBS. | SOPHOMORE |  ST. LOUIS  |      ST. LOUIS, MO

PROFILE:  Solid defensive outfielder and a stolen base threat (6.65/60). Played in 39 games as a freshman and missed the last two weeks of the season with a wrist injury. He is back to 100% health and batting # 1 or 2 in the order this fall and led the team in stolen bases. Danny played on a Missouri Class 4 State Championship team in 2009, batted .400 with three homers, 11 doubles, 31 RBI., 35 runs scored and 12 stolen bases.. He was a First Team All State selection as well. Danny played in the inaugural Rawlings High School Baseball Showcase at Busch Stadium which matches All Stars from Missouri and Illinois . Danny ranks near the top in many Fort Zumwalt South HS offensive records for season and career. Competed in several Perfect Game Showcases as an underclassmen.

 

  CHEEK, JARED - 

C/RHP | S/R | 6’0" | 170 LBS. | FRESHMAN | GEORGIA SOUTHERN  | BUCKHEAD, GA |  

PROFILE: Tremendous arm strength on the mound and behind the plate. Threw 88-91 this fall off the mound and catchers release times ranging from 1.78 to 1.86 in game action. Jared’s HS team went 23-3 in 2011 and he was 5-2 with a 3.85 ERA and hit .462 with four home runs and 33 RBI. Jared was selected as the # 1 player on the 4AA All Region First Team in 2011. His highlight game was against Lamar County HS when he struck out 17 batters in a 5-1 victory. Jared will be a mid-week starter as a freshman pitcher for GSU. Team One Showcase 2010 had him running a 6.99/60 and a showcase best release times from behind the plate at 1.81-1.97. He was selected as a 2011 Under Armour Pre-Season Showcase All American with a best release time of 1.78 and was ranked as the # 8 prospect in the showcase. He participated in numerous Perfect Game Showcases throughout his high school career, blossomed late and was a spring sign for Georgia Southern.


 

  CLARKSON, MIKE - 

RHP  |  R/R  | 6’1" | 190 LBS.| FRESHMANSOUTH FLORIDA | DUNEDIN, FL |

PROFILE: Upper eighties to low 90’s and command of three pitches out of an outstanding high school program. Mike was selected All-Pinellas County after going 9-2 with a 1.58 ERA. He was rated by Perfect Game as the # 53 prospect in Florida and the # 459 prospect in the country. Scout.com had him as the 295th best 2011 prospect in high school ranks. Mike is expected to play a significant role on the USF pitching staff as a freshman in 2012.  He pitched a no-hitter vs. East Lake HS in the 2011 spring and was the runner-up in the Tampa Bay Mr. Baseball poll. He played on a state championship team as a freshman. Mike was selected to the Pinellas County All Conference 1st Team, was a 2011 Bright House Sports Network All Bay Area 1st team selection and a Class 5A All State selection as a senior. Perfect Game rated him as a 9.0 prospect.


  DAUCH, LUKE - 

OFL/L | 6'3" | 190 LBS. | FRESHMAN   | NORTHWESTERN | BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI   | 

PROFILE: Luke batted .530 with six homers, 36 RBI and 34 stolen bases as a senior in 2011. He was selected First Team All State , All League, All District and All Region. He had a 6-for-6 game vs. Bloomfield HS with a homer, triple and six RBI. He was selected to play in the East-West All Star Game played at Comerica Park . Luke hit .458 with nine doubles, eight triples, three home runs, 27 RBI and 31 stolen bases as a junior. He had a .931 slugging percentage. He was selected as a Perfect Game preseason All American. He played summer ball with the elite summer program Midland Redskins. Luke ran a best 6.75/60 at a Perfect Game Showcase, was selected as the # 2 prospect in Oakland County and # 37 prospect in the 2011 class in Michigan . He was a five tool prospect out of high school. He participated in numerous Perfect Game Showcases and was rated as a 9.0 prospect in 2009. He helped transform the Lasher HS baseball program in his tenure and left the school with multiple records. He owns career records in a myriad of offensive categories, including singles, doubles, triples, home runs, stolen bases, RBI, runs scored, batting average and games played.



  DAVIS, LOGAN - 

INF  | L/L | 6’2" |180 LBS.| SOPHOMORE  | SAN DIEGO | SCOTTSDALE, AZ|

PROFILE: Transfer from Hofstra University where he played every day as a freshman and hit .255 with four doubles and 14 RBI. Logan played standout defense, making only 10 errors in 200 chances (.950).He was a 2010 draft of the Colorado Rockies in the 38th round. Logan played in the Alaska Baseball League in the 2011 summer with the Anchorage Bucs and played in the ABL All Star Game. He completed his senior season at Cactus Shadows HS hitting .433 with eight doubles, six triples, one homer, 24 RBI and 20 stolen bases. Logan ’s father (Mark Davis) was the first overall pick in the 1979 MLB Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies, a two time Major League All Star and was the Cy Young Award winner in 1989 when he had 44 saves and an ERA of 1.85 for the San Diego Padres. Logan signed in the early signing period to play for the University of San Diego in 2013. He will be the every day shortstop for Chandler-Gilbert CC in 2012. Logan competed in several Perfect Game Showcases in 2009. Logan finished the 2011 season at Hofstra strong with a seven game hitting streak and a career high three hits in the finale vs. Old Dominion.



  DEAN, ALEX - 

RHPR/R 6'0" | 190 LBS. | FRESHMAN  | TACOMA CC  |  SAMMAMISH, WA |

PROFILE: Alex throws upper eighties and topped out at 90 mph this past summer. He has a good feel for the curve ball and change up. Alex was selected as # 60 high school prospect in the Baseball Northwest Class of 2011. He threw a no-hitter in the 2011 summer with 12 strikeouts. He struck out 33 batters in 23 innings pitched as a senior at Eastlake HS.

 
  DOLLER. JAKE - 

RHPR/R 6'2" | 210 LBS. | JUNIOR  | KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY  |  LAKE WAUKOMIS, MO |

PROFILE: Two year letter winner on the KSU pitching staff. He appeared in 16 games pitching 17 2/3 innings both seasons, walking 13 and striking out 26 collectively. He was a bullpen fixture in the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Jake’s most extended relief work was against Oklahoma State on April 29 when he threw four innings allowing only three hits, one run and got eight ground ball outs. He got the win in a Big 12 contest vs. Nebraska on March 16 pitching three innings and allowed one run on four hits with two strikeouts. He had three strikeouts vs. Cal State Bakersfield to set a season high for him. In the 2011 Fall World Series at Kansas State , he pitched in two games and threw 4 1/3 innings, giving up 3 hits, one earned run and had one save. Jake played for the Cowlitz Black Bears in the West Coast League in the summer of 2011 and played in the post season with the Liberal Bee Jays during the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita . Jake’s pitches have great movement and he thrives on ground ball outs.


 

  ESPOSITO, MARK - 

INFR/R 6'0" | 185 LBS. | FRESHMAN  | UMBC  |  BETHANY, CT

PROFILE: Perfect Game selected him as the # 3 HS prospect in Connecticut , as the 14th best HS third basemen in the country and the 326th  ranked player in the nation in the class of 2011.  He was selected as a Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason All American. He was voted onto the 2009 and 2011 Perfect Game All-Star team. Max Preps selected him as the best player in Connecticut HS Baseball in the 2011 season. He was selected to the All Northeast Region First Team in 2011.Mark played summer ball for Mark Holtzman and the prestigious South Florida Bandits as a 3B/closer. Mark is regarded as an excellent all around player. Older brother, Jayson, was an All American at Vanderbilt and a second round draft choice of the Orioles in 2011. Mark attended Marshall University in the fall but transferred to Maryland-Baltimore County for the spring semester and will be unable to play because of the NCAA transfer rule. He had a Perfect Game Rating of 9.0 from the 2010 National Showcase.


 

  FOLK, CORY  - 

LHPL/L 6'3" | 200 LBS. | SOPHOMORE  | BUFFALO  |  LIVERPOOL, NY

PROFILE: Threw 42+ innings as a freshman, with four starts and 13 appearances. Cory had his best outing in a start vs. St. Bonaventure when he pitched a complete game victory (7-1) in game one of a doubleheader. He scattered six hits, allowed one earned run and struck out four Bonnies.  He pitched superbly in another start vs. Canisius College on March 13, tossing eight innings, giving up four hits and three runs while striking out six in a no decision outing. Cory had a great outing vs. NC State on March 15 when he pitched seven sterling innings and allowed only four hits, four runs and struck out five. He threw 130 pitches in seven innings and had a shutout through the fifth inning. Cory pitched for the Syracuse Salt Cats of the NYCBL last summer. His best outing was a start vs. the Oneonta Outlaws on June 7th when he pitched seven innings, allowed only three hits and one run. Cory has family ties to the Glens Falls/Hudson Falls area.


 

  FRYER, NEIL - 8 

RHPR/R | 6'0" | 205 LBS. | FRESHMAN  |  SIENA |  GREENWICH, NEW YORK | GREENWICH HS

PROFILE: Great start in his debut season with the Golden Eagles in 2011. He transformed to a starting role and jumped out to a 3-0 record with great performances against Mohawk Valley (4-1), Amsterdam (6-2) and Amsterdam again (4-1) on June 24. Neil struggled for the next few outings and returned to the bullpen with a dynamic outing vs. Newark in a key series win in Newark . Neil halted a ferocious Newark comeback in the eighth inning, saw the Golden Eagles take the lead in the ninth and closed down the Pilots in their home half. Neil went back to a starting role in the first place clinching game vs. Albany . He threw five innings of shutout baseball in a 7-0 win. He was selected as the Co-Pitcher of the Week early in the season when he went 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA in his first two starts. He was tough against arch rival Amsterdam , winning back to back decisions against the Mohawks. He did not incur a loss until June 29th.

Neil had a standout initial season for Siena , leading the team with a 1.47 ERA, was # 2 on the team in appearances with 19, walked nine and struck out 28 batters. He was most effective in his late innings role, getting big outs in big games. He starred in post season competition in MAAC Tournament play. He held opponents scoreless in his last four outings, highlighted by his four inning shutout relief appearance vs. Rider in an upset win in the MAAC Tournament.

 

 GRIFFIN, CHASE - 

C/INFR/R | 6'0" | 180 LBS. | FRESHMAN  | GEORGIA SOUTHERN |  LEESBURG, GA | 

PROFILE:  Great athlete with amazing versatility. He will play as a C/1B in his freshman season at GSU. Chase was an All-area player as a junior after hitting .444 with four homers and 36 RBI. He played at the same high school as Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants. Chase played in the prestigious Area Code Games in Long Beach, CA with the Houston Astros team in 2010 and the Oakland A’s team in 2011, where he demonstrated great power and release times of 1.89 to 1.95. Prospect Wire evaluated him as a Four Star Prospect overall with a 4.0 hitting, 5.0 power hitting, 4.0 defense actions with a strong arm. He started catching late in his junior season. Chase attended several Perfect Game Showcases during his high school years at Lee County High School .

 

  JUDISH, WES - 

RHPR/R | 6’2" | 180 LBS. | FRESHMANSAN DIEGO  |             EL CAJON, CA |

PROFILE: Primarily an infielder in high school but is making the transition to pitching at USD. Wes topped out at 92 mph this fall. Wes was a highly touted corner infielder at Steele-Canyon HS and an outstanding student who was a Union Tribune All Academic selection with a 3.82 GPA. Wes hit .377 with 12 doubles, three homers and 26 RBI in the 2010 season.

 

KAUTEN, BRETT- 

OFL/R | 5'10" | 208 LBS. | JUNIOR  |  KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY |  SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI | 

PROFILE: Signed with KSU out of Western Texas College . He was selected to the WJCAC 2011 All-Conference Team. He finished his sophomore season with a .488 average which ranked him as the # 2 hitter in the WJCAC. He drove in 63 runs, had 13 doubles, four triples and led the conference with 40 stolen bases. He ranked second in the nation in average and on base percentage. He had eight games with three or more hits, a pair of four hit games and four games with three stolen bases. He completed the season with a seven RBI contest vs. El Paso Community College . Brett played in the Northwoods League in 2010 and in the Coastal Plains League in 2011.In the 2011 K-State Fall World Series he was 6-for-18 (.333) with two doubles, one triple, two runs scored, a stolen base and five RBI. His highlight game was game # 4 when he went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, stolen base and four RBI. He batted 4-for-7 (.571) the last two contests.

 

KEYSOR, JORDAN - 

LHPL/L | 6'0" | 170 LBS. | JUNIOR  |  SKIDMORE |  CADYVILLE, NY | 

PROFILE:  Jordan was a mid summer pickup for the Golden Eagles in 2011. He gave the team an outstanding effort, pitching 10 innings out of the bullpen, allowed only three hits, no runs, walked five and struck out 13 batters. He held opposing batters to a microscopic average of .094. One of his outings was of great significance (July 31) vs. Mohawk Valley when he pitched three and two thirds innings of relief that allowed the Golden Eagles to overcome an early deficit on the road. Jordan gave up only two hits, one run, walked one and struck out seven. He finished his sophomore season at Skidmore with a 3-2 record in 40 innings, led the team in appearances, had two saves and held opposing hitters to a .286 average.


  KING, CHRIS - 

INF/C | L/R | 6’0"  200 LBS. | FRESHMAN | LOUISBURG | PORTSMOUTH, RI |

PROFILE:  Chris was a scholarship player attending Coastal Carolina in the fall of 2010 but had labrum surgery and left Coastal Carolina and transferred to Louisburg . He should return to 100% by the time the spring season starts. He was a two time All State First Team selection in high school. He was a pre season All Northeast selection by Perfect Game. During his HS career, Chris hit .418 with 22 doubles, five triples, 17 home runs, 82 RBI and 22 stolen bases. He represented Rhode Island in the 4th Annual Power Showcase at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg , FL. In the preliminary round, Chris hit five home runs with the longest traveling 439 feet (metal bat). He had a great high school career at Portsmouth HS with many accolades. He was twice selected to the Providence All State 1st Team after hitting .529 with nine homers, 36 RBI and 12 stolen bases as a junior (2009) and hitting .486 with six home runs and 22 RBI as a senior. He was an Under Armour Preseason All American in 2010, a Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason All Northeast Region 1st Team in 2010 and Max Preps listed him as the # 1 player in Rhode Island entering the 2010 season.


  LUBANSKI, JOE - 

OF | L/R | 6’3" |190 LBS. | FRESHMAN | YALE |     COLLEGEVILLE, PA |

PROFILE:  Perfect Game ranks him as the # 500 HS prospect in the nation, # 17 in Pennsylvania and the # 139 outfielder in the class of 2011. He has the size, running speed (6.78/60), arm strength (88 mph) and bat speed to excel at the major college level. He has the potential to be a middle of the order hitter as a freshman. Joe has great bloodlines with older brothers Chris and Mike excelling at the next level. Oldest brother Chris was a first round pick of the Royals (5th overall) in 2003 and Mike is a junior catcher at Wake Forest . Joe was a 2011 Perfect Game Preseason All-Atlantic Region 2nd Team selection.

He was a 2010 Perfect Game Preseason High School All American (honorable mention). He graded out at a 9.0 PG Rating at the 2010 Perfect Game National Showcase.


  MAGALLONES, BRANDON -  

RHP | R/R |  6' 3" | 185 LBS. | FRESHMAN  | NORTHWESTERN | MANHATTAN, IL|

PROFILE:  One of the Wildcats top freshman prospects. He notched an 8-3 record in 2011 and led his nationally ranked high school team to a 37-4 season and a runner-up spot in the Illinois State Championships. Northwestern feels that they signed one of their best arms ever in Brandon. He throws in the low 90’s and has significant upside. He will be a solid contributor his freshman season. Baseball America regarded Brandon as the seventh best overall prospect, college or high school, in the state of Illinois for the 2011 draft. Pro scouts realized his stellar academic reputation and his desire to be a heart surgeon would take precedence. He was in the Chicago Tribune Top 30 Players to Watch and a Chicago Sun Times All Area Team. He has competed at six Perfect Game Showcases.



  MATTHEWS, BRANDON - 

P/OF | L/L |  6' 0" | 180 LBS. | FRESHMAN  | YAVAPAI | TUCSON, AZ

PROFILE: Talented two way player. Throws upper eighties as a lefty pitcher and is an extremely athletic lead off type hitter and outfielder. He was a University of Arizona fall 2010 signee but decided to go the junior college route. He was a two year All Southern Arizona MVP and First Team selection in 2010 and 2011.  Brandon ’s junior season he hit .444 with 7 homers, 13 doubles and 36 RBI and went 5-2 with two saves and struck out 84 batters in 65 innings. In his senior campaign, he hit .410 with eight doubles, a homer, 10 stolen bases and 25 RBI. On the mound he was 5-0 with one save and struck out 52 in 35 innings. He was ranked as high as the # 5 prospect in Arizona high schools in the class of 2011



  MEYERS, KEVIN - 

INF | R/R | 6' 2" | 180 LBS. | FRESHMAN  | NE OKLAHOMA |  TACOMA, WA  |

PROFILE: Signed with Oklahoma out of high school (2008) in Tacoma but attended Western Nevada JC instead for one semester. Kevin has great hands, a plus arm, plus speed and is getting readjusted to college baseball. He remains a solid Division I prospect. He was selected to play in the Washington State All Star game his senior season in HS. He played for the NW Timberjacks Team in the summers. Perfect Game ranked him # 965 in the nation and noted him as an athletic middle infielder who is an all around solid player, and Rivals.com gave him a three star evaluation. Kevin was listed as the # 24 high school prospect in the Northwest as a senior.  He was a four year performer at Stadium HS and hit .327 with six homers and 23 RBI as a senior.  He also was selected to the Washington Nationals Area Code Team, composed of the elite players from the Northwest Region.. He will be an everyday middle infielder for NEO in 2012.



  MORALES, ALBERTO - 

INF | R/R | 6’1" | 205 LBS. | SOPHOMORE  |  CLARENDON | BRONX, NY |

PROFILE: :  Participated in the 2011 Junior College Fall All Star Weekend in Waco , TX .  Alberto had a solid freshman season at Clarendon.  He was listed at or near the top in many offensive categories in Texas/New Mexico JC play in 2011. He was # 20 in batting average (.375), # 10 in slugging %. (.597), # 14 in runs scored (45), # 15 in hits (66), # 5 in RBI (56), # 12 in doubles (15), # 2 in triples (9), # 9 in total bases (105) and # 18 in at bats with 176. Alberto had eighteen multiple hit games, struck out only 17 times and walked 26 times. His high school team won a state championship and he played in Yankee Stadium in a state championship game. He signed a Grant-In Aid with Texas Pan American for the 2012-2013 academic year.



 

  O'LEARY, PATRICK -

 RHP | R/R | 6' 1" | 185 LBS. | FRESHMAN  | WINTHROP | WASH. CROSSING, PA |

PROFILE:  Perfect Game had him as the # 7 prospect in Pennsylvania HS baseball in 2011, had a 2011 draft rating of 3.0 and was listed as the 467th best prospect nationally in the class of 2011. He was 6-0 his senior season, had 48 strikeouts in 31 innings and had the second lowest ERA in southeast Pennsylvania (0.90). He excelled in summer showcases like the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, FL when he pitched to seven batters, retired all seven and struck out five. He had the top velocity on his summer showcase team, topping out at 91 mph. Winthrop feels that they signed one of the top arms in the country and they are excited about his potential. Philadelphia Inquirer had him as the 2011 # 2 rated prospect in the area.  He participated in a dozen Perfect Game events. Pat was one of Winthrop ’s key recruits in a Top 100 National Recruiting Class.


 

  PETERSEN, RYAN - 

RHP  | R/R | 6’3" | 185 LBS. | FRESHMAN | YAVAPAI |            EL CAJON, CA |

PROFILE: Ryan throws upper eighties and has a + change. He was selected as the East County Pitcher of the Week when he pitched a complete game upset of Helix HS to keep them from clinching the Grossmont Hills League Championship in 2010. He scattered six hits, gave up two earned runs, walked none and struck out nine Helix batters. He played in the Perfect Game 2010 Sunshine West Showcase, pitching three effective innings for the Royal team. He has good arm action, control of three pitches  and is projectable for the Division I level.  He played summer travel ball with the San Diego Show. Ryan should be a starter for the Roughriders as a freshman. He has great command, pitches to contact and has developed a sinker that will be a very effective pitch for him. In his final high school season he threw 60 innings in 13 starts and led the team in wins. He threw a complete game shutout vs. Helix. He was a 2011 Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason All California Region Honorable Mention. He participated in a dozen Perfect Game Showcases.


  PUTNAM, BUDDY - 

IF/OF | L/R | 6’3" | 180 LBS. | FRESHMAN  |               SOUTH FLORIDA | BARTOW, FL  |

PROFILE: Extremely versatile athlete who can play all positions and was offered to play QB in college as well. Buddy is an excellent hitting prospect who should find his way into the USF lineup as a freshman.  He was selected to the Bright House Sports Network 2011 All-Bay Area Preseason Baseball Team, was a First Team Winter Haven News All Star and played summer ball with the Orlando Scorpions, a prestigious program in Central Florida. He is regarded as one of the best pure hitters in the 2011 class in Florida and plays with great competitiveness. Buddy hit a three run home run in the Polk County HS All Star game.  He played all nine positions in his high school career. He should make great progress since he made the decision to play only baseball at USF. Perfect Game has a 9.0 PG Rating for Buddy at the 2011 World Showcase.



 RODRIQUE, CASEY -

INF | L/R  | 5' 10" | 170 LBS. | FRESHMAN | LSU-EUNICE | DESTRAHAN, LA |

PROFILE:  .Casey was selected as an All-State, All Metro and All District performer as a senior in 2011. He is competing for the starting shortstop/second base position as a freshman for LSUE. He will start at either position and be an everyday player. He is a legitimate top of the order, high on base percentage type and has + speed (6.7/60) with base stealing abilities. Casey hit .375 as a senior and junior and pitched as well. He played for a national championship program, the New Orleans Spice, during the summer season. In the LSUE 2011 Fall World Series he had two excellent performances. In game # 3 he went 4-for-5 with one run scored and two RBI and in the championship game he was 2-for-5 with a run scored and had an RBI.

 

 

  ROONEY, JOHN - 10

PROFILE: John was selected as the MAAC Rookie of the Week three times during the spring 2011 season. He played and started every game (58), was # 1 in plate appearances (229), # 5 in batting average (.258), # 2 in runs scored (41), in hits (59), and stolen bases (7). . John played for the Golden Eagles in 2011 and was the most versatile performer on the team. He played primarily in the outfield but filled in admirably at third and second base. He hit .214 and struggled with hamstring problems that cut his summer season short. John looks to rebound in the 2012 season for the Golden Eagles. John should be hitting in the middle of the order for the Siena Saints in 2012. Legitimate major league arm from right field and +defender.


  ROUSSEAU, JP -

PROFILE: JP is a member of the Canadian Junior National Team. He was ranked as the # 15 or # 21 prospect in Canada according to two sources.  Last summer he batted .348 (32-for-92) with three homers, 27 RBI, 19 walks and only 4 strikeouts. He has gap to gap power, hits for average and has a major league arm. JP played for Team Quebec in the Canada Cup in 2010 summer and hit .375 (9-for-24) with one double and two RBI. He is regarded as one of the premier hitters in Canada .



 SAUCEDO, TAYLER

PROFILE: Winless in his junior season at Tahoma HS, Tayler made a dramatic turnaround going 7-1 in his final season and winning the Male Prep Athlete of the Year Award in his area. He was selected as a second team All State performer in 2011. He threw five complete games, allowed 47 hits, 38 walks and struck out 79 batters. Opening game of his senior season Tayler pitched four innings and struck out 11 Rogers HS batters. Opposing hitters only hit .200 against his offerings and he finished with a 2.25 ERA. He is a legitimate Division I pitcher and has the potential to play at the next level. His fastball sits at 86-88 and hits 91 with command of his secondary pitches. One of the top lefthanders in Washington, Tayler played for the Pro Baseball Club team last summer and was 4-5 with a 1.98 ERA, threw two complete game shutouts and struck out 48 batters in 46 innings. Tayler started game one of the 2011 Tacoma CC World Series, pitching comfortably into the 6th inning and got the win.


 

URBAN, TONY   -

PROFILE: Tony should be a weekend starter as a freshman for Louisburg . He was selected as the Boys Athlete of the Season in his area of New Jersey in 2011 based on his contributions on the mound and at the plate for West Deptford HS. His team was defeated in the NJ State semi-finals, but along the way, Tony finished with a 6-2 record and a 1.79 ERA. In the state playoffs he produced two wins and a save. He set a school record by striking out 84 batters, was an All South Jersey selection and pitched in the Carpenter Cup Classic. Tony throws 84-87 with great command of a curve and change. Originally was recruited by East Carolina but signed with UNC Asheville before deciding to go the junior college route.

He was given many post season laurels in New Jersey , highlighted by the South Jersey Baseball Coaches Association selecting him First Team All South Jersey in 2011. In the 2010 high school season he went 4-3 with a 1.88 ERA. He was a formidable two-way contributor in his West Deptford HS career with great numbers on the mound and at the plate

PROFILE: Mike played at North Broward Prep in Florida his junior and senior seasons and was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2011 when he hit .453 with 10 homers, 47 RBI and 33 runs and was selected All Broward First Team. As a sophomore at Smithtown West (NY) HS he hit .450 with seven homers and was All Conference and All Suffolk County . Mike was the New York State Representative at the Power Showcase Home Run Derby at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg in consecutive years. Mike hit two homers in the preliminary round measuring 374 and 375 feet in the fifth annual showcase  and in the fourth showcase hit three homers with the longest being 459’ with a metal bat. He has the ability to step in and play right away as a middle of the order power threat for SLU. Perfect Game had him ranked as the # 500 prospect in the nation, # 13 in New York State and # 32 first basemen in 2011. He hit two home runs in a semi-final contest vs. American Heritage HS in the 2011 Florida State Championships.  Mike had numerous post season honors by newspapers and magazines in South Florida for his exploits during the 2011 season at North Broward Prep. He attended two dozen Perfect Game events during his high school career. Mike was a Northeast Region 1st Team Selection and a five star rated player by Player Clearinghouse.
