2008 PLAYER PROFILES


  RICKY ANAYA-# 22

 RHP Florida Atlantic University   | 6’2 | 200 lbs. | Freshman | R/R West Palm Beach , FLAmerican Heritage HS

 Profile:   All Palm Beach selection in 2007. He had a 5-2 record with a 1.40 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 35 innings. He starred in post season play for American Heritage. He throws upper eighties and is a great competitor and should get some starts as a freshman for FAU. Selected Third Team All State 2A in 2007. Listed in Perfect Game USA Florida Region Top Seniors. Big body player, movement on 88 mph fast ball, a plus slider with tight spin and a solid change up. Played for Palm Beach Central HS and American Heritage HS in 2007. Selected to the Palm Beach Post All Area Team. FAU staff feels he has a huge upside.



  ERIC ARNETT-#18

  RHP  | Indiana University   | 6’5 | 215 lbs.SophomoreR/R | Pataskala , OH   | Watkins Memorial HS

 Profile:   Started five games as a frosh. Finished at 2-2 with a 6.11 ERA in 35 innings. He walked 20 and struck out 26. Made 16 appearances.  Made his debut vs. Eastern Illinois , pitched an inning giving up no hits, no runs and a strikeout. Got his initial save two days later vs. Northern Iowa , pitching one and 2/3 innings and giving up one hit, no runs and striking out two. Made his first career start vs. Florida A & M on March 17, pitching five innings and allowing four hits and three earned runs. Started the series finale vs. Penn State on April 29 and cruised through the first four innings before running into trouble in the fifth. He gave up four hits and four runs, walked three and had a career strikeout high of seven in his five inning stint. Eric had his best outing of the spring vs. eventual College World Series entrant Louisville on May 9. He pitched four innings of scoreless relief, gave up only one hit and set down 12 of the 15 batters that he faced to get win # 2 on the season. Eric got his second save of the season vs. Minnesota . He entered the game in the sixth inning of a seven inning contest with the score 7-6. After allowing a leadoff double, he proceeded to strike out the side and in the final inning got two fly balls and a ground out to complete the save. Played in the Great Lakes League in the 2007 summer with Licking County . He started 5 contests, threw 25 innings with 8 walks and 22 strikeouts.



  BILLY BARRETT-#19

RHPUniversity of Illinois   | 6’3 | 220 lbs.  | Sophomore | R/R | Homer Glen, IL Lockport HS

Profile:   Started five games as a freshman in 2007. Finished with a 1-2 record in 34 innings and gave up 33 hits and held batters to a .291 average. He had an exceptional stint vs. Bradley giving up four hits in five and 1/3 innings with two runs in a midweek start. In relief vs. Louisiana-Lafayette, Billy gave up one hit, one run, in three innings with no walks and two strikeouts. Against Dartmouth he threw three hitless innings, walked none and struck out three. In a Big Ten start vs. Northwestern, he threw 6 innings and gave up 3 runs on only four hits in a no decision outing. Bill pitches at 87-88 and has topped out at 92 mph. He made Second Team All State as a 2006 graduate of Lockport HS. Went 9-2 pitching against top-level teams. Finished with a 1.06 ERA and had 92 strikeouts in 66 innings. Ranked as the 19th best prospect in Illinois Class of 2006 by Prep Baseball Report.



  TODD BRAZEAL-#30

3B/1B/LF University of South Florida   | 6’4  230  lbs. |   R/R | Freshman  |  Tampa , FL   | Chamberlain HS

 Profile:   Highly rated prospect in high school. He ranked # 112  out of the Top 300 HS prospects by Baseball America, # 130 out of Top 200 HS prospects by Prospects Plus and # 357 out of the top 500 College and High School prospects in the Class of 2007. He was All Hillsborough County all four years. He has good hands and a strong throwing arm and is versatile enough to play either corner position in the infield and outfield. He selected USF after getting looks from LSU, Clemson and South Carolina . Expected to make an immediate impact for the Bulls. USF Head Coach Lelo Prado says “Todd Brazeal is a big, strong kid who can flat out hit. Wherever we play him, he is going to do a good job. I think what we are going to see out of this kid in the future is going to be special”. Todd is an imposing figure at home plate with his physical stature and appears to be a middle of the order fixture at USF for the next four years.



  JUAN CARLIN-# 14

LHP/OF | University of South Florida | 6’2" | 170 lbs.L/L | Freshman  | Riverview , FL Riverview HS

 Profile:   All Hillsborough County selection in 2007 and played in the Hillsborough County All Star Game.  Hit .458 with 33 hits, five doubles, one home run and 17 RBI. He was the leading hitter in the 6A District 8 League with his .458 average. He showed great promise as a pitcher as well. He had a record of 3-2 as a junior with two saves, gave up five walks, had 18 strikeouts in nine and 2/3 innings. In a relief outing against highly touted and nationally ranked Sarasota HS, he pitched one and 2/3 innings and struck out four batters. In his second performance against Sarasota he threw two innings, gave up one hit and struck out four. He was the 29th round pick of the Boston Red Sox in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft as a pitcher. He throws 88-91 mph and could be a two way guy  as the center fielder and a starter or closer out of the bullpen for USF. Coach Prado says “this guy is one of the top pitchers in Tampa . His best days are ahead of him because he is going to get physically bigger and stronger. You will hear a lot about him this year because he can flat-out pitch. He is a great addition”.



  CURT COURTWRIGHT-#2

INF | Missouri State University | 6’0 |175 lbs. | R/R | Sophomore Lincoln , IL   | Lincoln Community HS

 Profile:   Played in 31 games as a freshman. Showed versatility by playing SS, 2B and 3B during the season. Hit only .138 and was used as a late inning defensive replacement. In the 2007 summer, he played for the Quincy Gems of the Central Illinois Collegiate Baseball League and played in 38 games while batting .162 with two doubles, one homer and 13 RBI. He stole six out of nine bases. He will be contending for a starting position in 2008 and swung the bat extremely well in the last half of the fall season and in the 2007 Fall World Series. Curt was designated as the #21 prospect in Illinois HS ranks in the Class of 2006 by Prep Baseball Report.



  SHANE DAVIS-#16

LHP | Canisius College  | 6’0 |185 lbs.|   Sophomore  | R/L | Belmont , Ontario | East Elgin Secondary HS

 Profile:   Ineligible for the 2007 season. Played in the New England Collegiate Baseball League with the North Adams SteepleCats in the 2007 summer. Finished 0-2 with two starts and 23 innings pitched. In relief vs. Manchester , he threw five innings and gave up no runs and only two hits. Against Torrington , he threw three innings and allowed no runs and one hit. Shane was selected to Team Canada Junior National Team Training Roster in 2005. He won a Gold Medal with Team Ontario in the 2005 National Cup. Pitched the semi-final contest vs. Team Alberta and gave up two hits in six innings while striking out six. Threw 86-88 mph in the fall for Canisius and is capable of more.



  SCOTT DENAULT - #26

RHP | University of San Diego | 6’3 - 190 lbs. | Bats: R Throws: R | Junior | San Clemente, CA | Mater Dei HS

 Profile:   Returning from the 2007 team. He was a standout performer in a variety of roles last summer. He finished with a 4-0 record and a 2.90 ERA. He started four games, made 12 appearances and threw 49 innings. Scott gave up only 34 hits, walked 10 and struck out 53 opposing hitters. Hitters batted a miniscule .198 against his offerings. Scott was a contributor in his freshman season at San Diego , a top five program, in the regular season and in post-season play. His performance opportunities were limited in 2007 but he looks forward to contributing  this season, his junior year at USD, a national championship contender in the 2008 season. He had a great fall season at San Diego giving up only two hits in eleven innings pitched. His return to Glens Falls is a huge boost to the 2008 pitching staff. He is a great competitor and comes at you with a variety of pitches from an assortment of  arm angles and release points….but with solid command.



  JOHN DOOLITTLE - #31

  C | Lake Sumter C.C. 6’1 | 192 lbs.Freshman | R/R | Newnan, Ga. Northgate HS

 Profile:   Transferred at mid-year from Florida State to Lake Sumter CC. Scholarship player for FSU who was recruited by Georgia Tech, South Florida , Stetson, and several top JC programs but decided on Florida State . John hit .338 with 15 home runs and 38 RBI his senior season at Northgate HS. He hit 8 HR’s in his first 9 games. He is regarded as an excellent receiver behind the plate with a strong arm (2.0 release time) and will be a middle of the order hitter for Lake Sumter CC this spring season.



  MICHAEL EARLEY-#11

3B Indiana University 6’0 | 215 lbs.Sophomore | R/R | Anderson , IN Anderson HS

 Profile:   Transfer from the University of Cincinnati. Played extensively as a freshman, batting .320 with five homers, six doubles  and 15 RBI. He started in 31 games and ranked # 2 in on base percentage (.434) and # 3 in slugging percentage (.536).He had seven two hit games during the course of the season. Michael played in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League in the 2007 summer for the Grand Lakes franchise. He batted .277 in 34 games (33 for 119) with six doubles, two triples, one home run and 14 RBI. Named County Player of the Year at Anderson HS in 2006 and was a candidate for Indiana ’s Mister Baseball. He hit .523 with 14 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 30 RBI. He was a four year All Conference selection in baseball, three times in football and once in basketball. He owns the record for most pass receptions in Anderson HS history. He played in the prestigious Area Code Games in California , a showcase for the best HS baseball prospects in the nation----by invitation of pro scouts. He is a great addition to the Indiana program and should be a middle-of-the-order hitter and run producer for the Hoosiers in 2008….and do the same for the Golden Eagles in the 2008 summer season.



  LUIS FELIZ - # 15

OF | Rutgers University | 6’2 - 200 lbs. | Bats: R Throws: R | Sophomore | New Brunswick, NJ | New Brunswick HS  

 Profile:   Played part of the season with the Golden Eagles in 2007 before leaving to have meniscus surgery in New Jersey. Hit .276 with three doubles, two homers and 12 RBI in 19 games but was coming on strong offensively prior to his departure. Luis struggled as a sophomore at Rutgers, hitting only .227 in 43 games. He played well as a freshman, playing for the injured David Williams. He appeared in 52 games, hit .238 with four doubles, three homers and 26 RBI. He had nine multi-hit games, including a pair of three hit games. Luis had a hit in each of the Big East Tournament games in Clearwater , FL. Luis was a 47th round draft of the Washington Nationals out of high school. He was named a pre=season high school All American in 2005. In an incredible junior season at New Brunswick HS, Luis hit .534 with seven doubles, seven triples, 11 home runs, 41 RBI and 26 stolen bases. The 2008 season will be an opportunity for Luis to get back to 100% physically and be on track to being a significant contributor to a depleted Rutgers lineup decimated by graduation and the MLB Draft.



  KYLE FORNEY-#21

RHP Florida Atlantic University 6’6 | 210 lbs.R/R | Parkland FL Stoneman Douglas HS

 Profile: Potential to be a top closer. Throws from the side and is extremely tough  on right handed hitters. Probably will be utilized his freshman season as a set up guy vs. right handed hitters. Played for the outstanding Florida Legends summer team in 2007 and worked out of the bullpen making ten appearances.



  ANTHONY GIANSANTI-#6

OF/P Siena College   | 6’0 |180 lbs. | SophomoreR/R | Montville CT Montville HS

 Profile:   Played extensively as a freshman. Hit .239 in 34 starts, playing in right field and had four doubles, one home run and 17 RBI. He was a MAAC Rookie of the Week during a conference weekend series vs. Canisius. He batted .500 with four RBI, two runs scored and a three run homer in the middle game of that series. Anthony  had a 4-for-5 game vs. Fairfield with two RBI, three runs scored, a double and two stolen bases. He played in the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League in 2007 summer. He runs well….6.6/60 yds and can throw 90 mph from the outfield. Anthony pitched in the fall 2007 season and got it up to 90-91 mph and could be used as a closer this spring for Siena . He is a certified stuntman  and his father appeared in several movies as a stuntman. He was All State in baseball and football at Montville HS.



  WILL HASSETT-# 6

RHP| Siena College   | 6’2 | 220 lbs. | Junior  | R/R | North Bellmore , NY Chaminade HS

 Profile:   Selected by the fans as the Glens Falls Golden Eagles 2006 Pitcher of the Year. He finished with a 3-4 record and a 4.78 ERA. Will tied for the lead in starts (8), pitched 43 innings and gave up 39 hits while holding opposing batters to a .234 average. He was signed to return to the Golden Eagles last summer but had to spend the summer rehabbing from arm problems. During his sophomore season at Siena , he was # 2 in appearances (15) with a 0-3 record and a 6.58 ERA. Will has gained his arm strength back and threw well this fall with improved velocity and it bodes well for his junior campaign. The Golden Eagles are happy to have Will return in 2008. He is a great teammate and student of the game.



  JONATHAN KOSCSO-#10

INF/OF5’11| 175 lbs  | University of South Florida| Freshman  | R/R  | Tampa , FL   | Jesuit HS

 Profile:   Hit .525 with 52 hits, 14 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 38 RBI in 30 games. He was the Class 4A, District 13 Player of the Year. He was a First Team All State selection as an infielder. In his final two seasons at Jesuit, he struck out only eleven times in 193 at bats. His .525 average ranked # 7 in the state, his 38 RBI ranked # 6 and his five homers ranked # 31 in Florida High Schools. His highlight performance in the regular season was in a contest vs. St. Petersburg Catholic HS when he went 2-for-5 with two home runs, two runs and six RBI. In the state 4A regional semi-final game, Jonathan had a career day, ripping a pair of doubles and a two run homer to lead Jesuit HS over Estero HS. In the summer, Jonathan played for the 17 U All-American Prospects Team, a select team with players from all over the country that won the Perfect Game USA World Wood Bat Association National Championship in East Cobb, GA.  He will contend for time as a second basemen, third basemen or outfielder his freshman season at USF. Lelo Prado, Head Coach at USF says “Jonathan is the total package, he works hard and he’s an athlete who can do it all”.  He is an academic scholar as well.



  TYLER LEE-#20

LHP  | 6’1| 223 lbs.University of the Cumberlands  | L/L| Junior | Mt. Sterling , KY Montgomery County HS

 Profile:   Transferred to the NAIA affiliated University of the Cumberlands from Division I Morehead State for the 2008 season. He pitched  84 innings in his two years at Morehead, made 30 appearances and had 61 strikeouts. Pitched in 14 games as a freshman and made seven starts against conference foes or against top flight non-conference opponents. He finished 0-5 with losses against Kentucky , Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, Southeast Missouri and Eastern Illinois . Selected as the Co-MVP of the 2006 Morehead State Fall World Series. Finished his sophomore season with a 2-5 record for a struggling program. Tyler had problems with his command in his two seasons of Division 1 baseball. He has the chance to be a dominant pitcher with his great stuff. His career high school pitching record was 26-9 and he was a Kentucky All Star selection his final two seasons. Tyler throws 85-89 with three pitches that he commands and that are above average. He will be in the top two of the rotation this spring.



  GEORGE LOTT-# 14

RHP | North Florida 6’3 | 185 lbs.Sophomore | R/R | Palm Beach Gardens, Fl | William T. Dwyer HS

 Profile: High school teammate of Adam Veres at Dwyer HS. They led the team to the Class 5A Regional Tournament in 2006 season. George started nine games, pitching 55 2/3 innings with 79 strikeouts, 11 walks, a 2.23 ERA. Pitched in the 2006 Palm Beach County Dick Howser Senior All Star Game. He figured prominently in the plans for the UNF pitching staff as a freshman, started against Georgia Southern in an early season stint, throwing 4 2/3 innings and striking out three in a no-decision. Sat out rest of the season with an elbow injury, necessitating Tommy John surgery. Appears to be back to 100% this spring.



  JERRETT LUKAS-# 24

INF/C  | University of Maine   | 6’2 |195 lbs. | Freshman  | R/R |Old Town, ME & Glens Falls , NY   | Old Town HS

 Profile:   Selected as the State of Maine Player of the Year, Maine Mr. Baseball and the Gatorade Maine Player of the Year in 2007. He batted .531 with four home runs and 15 RBI and was 5-3 as a pitcher. In the East-West All Star Game, Jarrett smacked a two run triple,  and an RBI single. In addition  he pitched one and one third inning of scoreless relief. In the Maine-New Hampshire Senior All Star Game, he provided the spark  with a single, double and triple, drove in three runs and scored one run. His versatility should allow him to contribute significantly as a freshman. Steve Trimper, Maine Head Coach states that “Lucas is a tremendous athlete that has the ability to help us in many ways on the field. He has good power, runs well, and has a strong arm”. The Lukas family moved to Glens Falls last fall.



  NICK MCCOY-#12

C University of San Diego   |  5’10 |185 lbs.|  RS Sophomore  | R/R | San Diego, CA | Westview HS

 Profile:   Battling for some playing time as a red shirt sophomore in 2008. Should alternate behind the plate with a senior. Played as a back up catcher as a frosh and red shirted last year. Played summer ball in 2006 with the SV Packers out of San Luis Obispo, CA. He played in 30 games and hit .213. In the 2007 summer season, Nick played for the San Luis Obispo Rattlers who are coached by former Major leaguer Roy Howell, in their inaugural season. He was hitting .342 when he suffered a season ending injury. He was the Westview HS MVP his senior year and chose the Toreros over UC San Diego, Iowa and Creighton.  



  EVAN MCDOLE-#25

1B/OF |  Northern Kentucky University |   6’6 | 230 lbs. | L/R | RS Sophomore | Cold Spring , KY Bishop Brossart HS

 Profile:   Played everyday as a starter his red shirt freshman campaign. Hit .316 in a wooden bat conference with six doubles, two triples, two home runs and 25 RBI. He ranked # 2 in slugging % and # 3 in on base % for the season. He had 17 walks and only struck out 16 times in 136 at bats. He ranked # 2 in RBI as well. In the 2007 summer season, he played for the Spartanburg Crickets and hit .250 with three doubles, two triples and 10 RBI. Evan had a spectacular high school career setting numerous single season and career records at Bishop Brossart HS. He was selected as the Northern Kentucky Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005. His career statistics at Brossart include records for batting average (.451), hits (174), doubles (49), home runs (24), RBI (139) and runs scored (118). He holds single season records of most doubles (16) and most runs scored (40). His NKU numbers should improve this season as the Conference moves to aluminum bats for the 2008 season.



  BLAKE NATION-# 23

RHP   | Georgia Southern University  | 6’8 |260 lbs. |  R/R | Junior \  Brooks, GA | Starr’s Mill HS

 Profile:   Highly heralded prospect out of high school. Baseball America had him rated as # 77 in the top 100 high school prospects in 2004. Threw upper 80’s to low 90’s with movement. Blake has struggled since arriving at Georgia Southern. In 2007 he was 0-0 with a 6.55 ERA and made nine appearances. In 2008, he has an opportunity to be a # 4 starter and a middle reliever. He is throwing 87-91, topping out at 94 mph in the 2007 fall season. This is his initial season working with new pitching coach, Jason Beverlin, former Western Carolina star and former pro pitcher. Blake led his high school team to a 26-7 record in 2004, finishing with a 7-2 record with three saves and a 2.28 ERA. He went 5-0 playing summer baseball with the prestigious Savannah Chain team. In the 2004 fall he pitched five and 2/3 innings in the Wooden Bat Baseball Association Championship Game for the East Cobb Astros and allowed only one run.



  MATT QUEVEDO-#8

RHP | University of South Florida | 6’1 |180 lbs. |  R/R | Sophomore | Tampa , FL | Tampa Catholic HS  

  Profile:  The # 3 starter in the rotation as a freshman. He started 12 games, had two complete games, pitched 71 innings and was 4-3 overall. His ERA was 4.06 and he held opposing hitters to a .261 average. Matt made his college debut on 2/10 vs. High Point , pitching four innings of hitless relief to gain his initial win at USF. On 2/17, he pitched again in relief vs. Jacksonville , throwing three innings giving up six hits and five runs….none earned….in an 12-7 USF victory. Matt made his first career start for the Bulls on 3/6 vs. Stetson in Tampa, pitching five and 2/3 innings, allowed six hits, four earned runs in a no decision outing. On 3/13, he started vs. Miami (OH) and threw five and 2/3 innings, giving up eight hits and four runs. Matt pitched a complete game gem vs. North Florida on 3/20, allowing six hits, walked one and struck out a career high seven batters. He garnered his third win of the season vs. Central Florida on 4/3 throwing six and 1/3 innings, allowed seven hits and one earned run. Matt pitched a complete game (# 2) vs. Stetson on 5/15, throwing a three hit shutout, walked four and struck out five. Late in the game, he retired 18 consecutive Stetson batters. He had an exceptional outing in the Big East Tournament vs. Connecticut , throwing 7 1/3 innings, giving up only five hits, one run, walked three and struck out six. Matt was a second team All State selection as a senior and First Team All County . He finished 7-3 with a 1.87 ERA, struck out 64 and was named to the Tampa Tribune Parade of Athletes.  



  RYAN SCHMIDT-# 27

LHP/DH | Northern Kentucky University | 6’4 | 210 lbs. |  L/L | RS Sophomore  | Decatur , IN |  Bellmont HS

 Profile:   Transfer from Ball State . He will be the # 1 starter for NKU this season. Throws 86-89 and will top out at 90 mph. He has a late breaking slider and a plus changeup as well. Ryan was a midweek starter at Ball State as a freshman. Started seven games and threw 24 innings but struggled with his command….24 walks in 24 IP. Made his collegiate debut on Feb. 17 vs. Alabama-Birmingham in relief and pitched one inning gave up one hit, a run and struck out two. Ryan started against Evansville on 3/8 pitching three and 2/3 innings, allowing four hits, one run and no earned runs. He started a game vs. Louisville throwing three and 2/3 innings again, with three hits and two runs and struck out four Cardinals. He faced Purdue on 3/29 pitching three innings, allowing six hits, two runs and struck out five. Against Notre Dame on 4/5, he threw four innings as the starter, allowed five hits, two runs and struck our four Irish batters. Ryan final outing of his freshman season was in the NCAA Regional Tournament in Lexington , KY. He pitched the eighth inning, giving up one hit and one run in a 11-0 loss to the College of Charleston. Touted by the NKU coaching staff as an early to middle round draft in 2008.



  CHAD STANG-#17

OF | Midland College | 6’2 |180 lbs | Freshman | R/R | Surrey ,British Columbia | White Rock Tritons

  Profile:   Played on the Canadian Junior National Team in the summer of 2007. Chad was selected as the Top Outfielder at the Pan American Youth Championship and was selected to the Tournament All Star Team. The tournament was won by Cuba and hosted by Mexico. Chad played in the Premier Baseball League for the White Rock Tritons and had a great 2007 summer season. He was selected as the Top Offensive Player and Top Batter, and had the best on base % and best slugging %. Chad hit .418 (46-110) with 11 doubles, three triples, 26 RBI and 12 stolen bases. He was an obvious First Team All Conference selection. He will start in center field and bat 3rd in the order for Midland as a freshman.  He hit .360. in the fall  with 4 home runs. He has great speed, an average arm, is a plus outfielder and has gap to gap power with his line drive stroke.  



  JAMIE STOREY-#29

LHP | Midland College | 6’3 | 225 lbs. | Freshman  | L/L | Canyon, TX |  Canyon HS

 Profile:   Throws 84-86 but with an outstanding curve ball. He will be contenting for a weekend rotation spot as a freshman. He won 10 games as a senior at Canyon HS, struck out 112 batters and finished with a 1.97 ERA. His final high school game was in the regional quarter-finals when he pitched a 17 strikeout one hitter against Abilene Wylie HS.



  ADAM VERES - #32
RHP | St. Petersburg College | 6’3 | 230 lbs. |  R/ R | Sophomore | Palm Beach Gardens, FL | Dwyer HS

 Profile:   Pitched for the 2007 Golden Eagles. Threw 14 + innings, giving up only nine hits, walked eight and struck out 17 opposing hitters. Opponents hit only.167 against his offerings. As a freshman at SPC, Adam was 4-2 in 45+ innings with a 3.547 ERA. As a sophomore he will be a mainstay in the rotation. He excelled in the fall with velocities in the upper eighties to low 90’s. Adam was selected as the # 145 ranked prospect in the HS class of 2006. He played in an excellent summer program while in high school….the Florida Bombers. In 2006, he was 4-0 with a 2.53 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 47 innings for the Bombers

 Profile:   Outstanding sign for the Hoosiers. Highly regarded infielder with excellent high school stats, a member of the prestigious Indiana Bulls summer team and a pro invitee to premier showcases like the Area Code Game in Long Beach , CA and the East Coast Pro Showcase in Wilmington , NC . Baseball America listed him in its Top 200 Prospects in the HS Class of 2007 at # 199. The Indiana staff feels that Ethan was the best shortstop in Indiana and possibly in the Midwest area. He had a career high school batting average of .350 and had 67 RBI. Ethan underwent ACL surgery last year, did not play in the fall 2007 season but is expected to be at 100% by January and primed for the 2008 intercollegiate season.
