#20  - Tony Dischler (2009) – RHP – Mahoning Valley Scrappers

The right-handed pitcher from LSU-Eunice was drafted in the 23rd round of last summer’s draft by the Cleveland Indians. Dischler was only able to make two starts last summer due to the draft, but made the most of them allowing no earned runs. In his first full professional season this year, the Rayne, LA native has made 11 appearances out the Scrappers’ bullpen while striking out 11 batters and maintaining a 4.57 ERA.

A two-year summer ballplayer with the Golden Eagles, Lashmet was selected in this past month’s draft (33rd round) after a collegiate career at Northwestern which placed him among the Wildcats’ career leaders. After being named an All-Big-Ten selection this spring, Chris “Moose” Lashmet began his professional career in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league system. Currently, “Moose” is batting .277 with 23 hits and a homerun in 22 games while manning the hot corner.
