Glens
Falls, NY – Continuing the team’s tradition of community
involvement and support, this Thursday, June 23rd at 7pm,
the Glens Falls Golden Eagles of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball
League (PGCBL) will be hosting the Fire Department of New York’s (FDNY)
baseball team for a charity exhibition game with all proceeds
benefiting the local Glens Falls September 11th Memorial.
The
FDNY Bravest Baseball Team was founded in 1998 and plays in New York
City men’s baseball leagues while also travelling to raise money for
department-related charities and causes such as the Glens Falls
September 11th Memorial.
The
Memorial, originally conceived by Glens Falls native Ric Stafford in
2008, is being constructed at the Ridge Street location of the Glens
Falls Fire Department and will be officially dedicated later this year
on September 11th.
Excited about the game, team owner Darin Williams said “We are proud
and honored to host the FDNY Bravest for this great cause."
Join
the Golden Eagles and the FDNY Baseball Team at East Field this
Thursday, June 23rd at 7pm for this September 11th
Memorial benefit exhibition game.
