Adam Veres   RHP   St. Petersburg College  

Adam finished the regular season with his fifth victory of the year, pitching five innings vs. Lake Sumter Community College , giving up four hits, two runs, walking two and striking out two batters. In his previous outing against Pasco Hernando CC, he threw four innings and allowed five hits, two runs, walked four and struck out three. Adam completed the regular season with a 5-2 record and a 4.78 ERA. He struck out 70 batters in 74 innings. St Petersburg won their conference and will play in the Florida Junior College State Tournament scheduled in Winter Haven May 9-13.  

Tyler Lee   LHP   University of the Cumberlands  

Tyler was selected as the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week after pitching a three hitter allowing only two runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out ten batters vs. Georgetown College . He finished the regular season in a conference tournament warm up vs. Division I Belmont, throwing one and 2/3 innings of relief, giving up one hit and no runs. Tyler finished the regular season with a 6-1 record and a team leading 1.78 ERA. Cumberlands will open up Mid-South Conference Tournament play on April 24 and are a nationally ranked (# 7) team in the most recent NAIA Poll. They are the # 1 ranked team in Region XII going into tournament play.

Chad Stang   Outfielder   Midland College  

Chad is winding down his freshman season leading his junior college team in at bats, hits, doubles, triples and ranks # 2 in home runs, RBI and stolen bases. He is batting .321 with 13 doubles, three triples, seven homers, 37 RBI, 44 runs and a .572 slugging %.  

Jonathan Koscso   2B   University of South Florida  

One of only four USF players to start every game, the freshman is batting .290 with four doubles and 17 RBI. In Big East Conference play he is hitting .281 with seven RBI. Jon leads the team with 17 hit by pitch. His best offensive performance of late was on 4/13 vs. Louisville when he went 3-for-4 with two RBI, including a double in an 8-4 USF win. On 4/22 vs. Florida Atlantic in a non-conference game, he was 3-for-3 with two runs, an RBI and reached base all seven at bats. He walked three times, was hit by a pitch in addition to his three hits.  

Jarrett Lukas   Infielder   University of Maine  

Freshman has started every game of late and has been very productive. He is hitting .354 with four doubles, two triples, four home runs and 21 RBI. His .598 slugging percentage ranks # 2 on the team. Jarrett was 2-for-4 vs. Maryland-Baltimore County on 4/18 with a double and a homer. He went 2-for-4 vs. Albany on 4/11 with a triple and two RBI. His highlight game was against Husson College on 4/10 when he was 2-for-3 with four RBI on two, two run home runs.

Michael Earley   IF/OF/DH   Indiana University  

Michael has a .358 batting average, ranking # 3 on the team and has five doubles, one triple, three home runs and 17 RBI. He ranks # 2 in slugging percentage at .526, # 2 in on base percentage at .445 on the season. His most productive games were on 4/20 vs. Penn State when he went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a double and on 4/12 vs. Iowa when he was 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI and a triple.  

Shane Davis   LHP   Canisius College  

Shane had two more productive outings recently. On 4/12, he threw a complete game victory over Marist College , giving up 10 hits, two earned runs, walked one and struck out three to extend his record to 7-0. He suffered his first loss of the season vs. Siena on 4/19. He had a two hit shutout going into the last inning before giving up three unearned runs and receiving his first loss of the season. He has held batters to a .264 average.  

Billy Barrett   RHP   University of Illinois  

Raised his record to 2-0 with a mid-week start and victory over Illinois State on 4/22. He pitched five innings, gave up three hits, two runs and struck out two. He threw 81 pitches and had 47 strikes (58%).  

Will Hassett   RHP   Siena College  

Will had two good outings in the last two weeks. He threw a complete game seven inning win vs. Vermont , giving up seven hits and two runs, walked one and struck out three. He followed up against a hot-hitting Canisius team, pitching seven innings once again and allowed seven hits, five runs but had a non-decision in an eventual 10-9 Canisius win.  

Eric Arnett   RHP   Indiana University  

Eric has been superb in his last two outings for the Hoosiers. In a relief role vs. Penn State , he threw two innings of scoreless baseball and gave up two hits, walked none and struck out one. In a mid-week start vs. Indiana State on 4/23 he pitched six innings, giving up four hits, two runs, walked one and struck out four. Eric retired 13 batters on grounders and just one on flyouts in his 84 pitch stint. He moved his record to 3-2 with the win and dropped his ERA down to 5.02, which ranks him at # 3 on the staff.

Blake Nation   RHP   Georgia Southern University

Leading the staff in saves with five. Blake threw his career high four innings in an extra inning game vs. Kennesaw State on 4/23, allowing two hits, one run, walked one and struck out a season high six batters. The win raised his record to 2-3 and lowered his team leading ERA to 3.77.

Ethan Wilson   Infielder   Indiana University

Increased his batting average to the .273 mark and has contributed at least a hit in almost every start in the last several weeks. He had a 2-for-4 vs. Penn State on 4/18.  Ethan has  six doubles, one homer and 17 RBI on the season.

George Lott   RHP   University of North Florida

 Redshirt frosh gradually gaining the stamina and good health necessary to become a contributor. Started games against South Florida, Florida and Florida State and pitched in relief against Mercer. Should be strong and a big contributor by this summer.  

Nick McCoy   Catcher   University of San Diego

Nick played in conference series vs. Portland and St. Mary’s in the last two weeks. His highlight game was against Portland on 4/13 when he was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two doubles in a 13-8 USD victory.
