– Coming off
a monster week, Georgia Southern University’s Chris
Shehan (Strasburg, PA/Lampeter-Strasburg) was named
Southern Conference ‘Player of the Week’ and one of
Collegiate Baseball’s ‘National Players of the Week’.
Shehan
batted .619 (13-of-21) in five games last week, scoring 12 runs
and driving in 10. He hit three doubles and five home runs, then
on the base paths swiped 6-of-6 bases. Shehan recorded the first
2-home run game of his career, doing so twice during that
five-game span.
Overall,
Shehan leads the Eagles (9-8 overall) batting .424 with 24 runs
scored, 23 RBI and eight home runs. Shehan owns an .894 slugging
percentage, .553 on-base percentage and stolen 9-of-9 bases.
