Free admission to Golden Eagles game
No admission will be charged for the Glens Falls Golden Eagles NYCBL game against Bennington on July 10. The game will start at 7 p.m. at East Field. The promotion is sponsored by the Southern Adirondack Tobacco Free Coalition.
Crossman second in Saturday triathlon
Several members of the Adriondack Triathlon Club raced at the inaugural North county Triathlon in Hague last Saturday.
Kevin Crossman of South Glens Falls finished second overall in 2:16.11. Heidi Underwood of Kattskill Bay was the first woman of the club to finish, crossing the line in 2:34.11, 12th place overall.
The team of Dave Morrissey of Queensbury and Deana Endieveri of South Glens Falls took second in the team competition.
Paul Bricoccoli, Pat Murphy and Randy Rath each finished the event in 2:33.18. Mike Endieveri finished in 2:49.40.
The Olympic distance triathlon consisted of a .9 mile swim, a 24.8 mile bike ride and a 6.2 mile run.
Eagles pull out win over Little Falls, 6-5
LITTLE FALLS * The Glens Falls Golden Eagles scored twice in the top off the eighth inning and went on to post their 18th win in 22 games, beating Little Falls 6-5 on Tuesday.
Luis Feliz singled home the tying run and Kevin Mahoney tripled in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning. Arthur Clyde picked up the win in relief for the Eagles and Adam Veres got the save.
The Golden Eagles will play at home on Thursday against Amsterdam at 7 p.m.
