AMSTERDAM -- The Amsterdam Mohawks nipped Glens Falls, 5-4 in 10 innings, on Sunday in a New York Collegiate Baseball League contest at Shuttleworth Park.

Glens Falls (7-3), which has lost two of its last three and needed a walk-off home run in the victory, took a 4-1 lead, but the Mohawks (4-5) responded with three runs in the eighth inning.

Cord Phelps' double to left field scored Jason Pollard for the game-winner.

The Golden Eagles next play Wednesday, when they host Saratoga at 7 p.m. at East Field.

The children from Mrs. Thompson's class at Queensbury will sing the national anthem before the game.
