Published on 7/9/2005

The Glens Falls Golden Eagles are starting to play better baseball, but the weather isn't cooperating.

The Golden Eagles have been showing some life in the New York Collegiate Baseball League this week, winning five of their last 10 games, but were rained out Friday night against the Saratoga Phillies.

Glens Falls (7-19) was coming off a doubleheader split with Plattsburgh on Thursday night, while Saratoga (11-14) was beaten by Mohawk Valley, 2-1 in 10 innings.

No immediate rescheduling of the game was announced.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action today at Mohawk Valley, while Saratoga travels to Watertown this afternoon to take on the Wizards.
