David Williams, the MVP of last year's Glens Falls Golden Eagles team, was drafted Wednesday by the Arizona Diamondbacks on the second day of the Major League Baseball draft.
Williams, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound outfielder from Rutgers, is one of two players returning to the Golden Eagles this season. He batted .313 for Glens Falls last season and .312 with 32 RBIs as a junior for the Scarlet Knights this spring.
Williams, 20, was the 741st player selected in the draft.
